Boarding & Training Programs
Through our partnerships with purposefully chosen Minneapolis dog boarding facilities, K9SF is able to offer a myriad of Board & Train programs. Our Board & Train options offer you the flexibility to board your dog over a period of time while an experienced K9SF trainer picks them up for periodic training sessions -- all for one simple and straight forward price. Obedience Packages
An Obedience Board & Train program is an excellent option for dog owners who want to improve their canine companion's obedience skills. During the program, your dog will stay with one of our boarding partners and receive personalized attention and balanced training from K9SF to help them master obedience commands (at a level based on the package you select). Our programs are tailored to your dog's individual learning style, your desired outcomes and will build on any prior experience they may have.
One-Week Obedience
The one-week (7 days) program is highly focused and teaches your dog the basic commands such as "sit", "down", "come", "stay" and more, generally under low distractions (indoors). This is a great option if you are looking for quick results and can dedicate some time to continue working with your dog after the program ends.

Two-Week Obedience "Boot Camp"
A two-week (14 days) boot camp is the ideal length of time to see meaningful results from your dog (and is our most popular package). Similar to our one-week program, we focus on teaching your dog the basic commands such as "sit", "down", "come", "stay" and more but the extra time allows us to train under increased levels of distraction (compared to our shorter programs). We also spend additional time focusing on areas where your dog may require more attention, resulting in a greater understanding of desired commands.

Three-Week Obedience
Our three-week (21 days) program offers a unique combination of training and boarding, allowing your dog to receive the best of both worlds. Our objective is to teach your dog commands such as "sit," "down," "come," "stay" (longer duration), "heel" (higher distractions), "leave it" (higher value) under high distractions (indoors and outdoors). The additional training time yields better results, making this program perfect for dogs who need some extra help in obedience or need more time to fully solidify commands.

5 Day "Work Week" Obedience (M-F)
Our 5-day program, from Monday to Friday, is a fantastic solution for improving your dog's obedience during your work week -- just in time for your weekend! Our trainers at K9SF will teach your dog essential commands such as "sit," "down," "come," "stay," "heel," and "leave it" under low distractions in an indoor setting. Your dog will be responsive to these commands upon pickup, ensuring that your dog is well-behaved and obedient. Don't give up a single weekend with your dog by signing up for our work week program!

Behavior Modification Packages
If your dog is struggling with behavioral issues such as aggression, separation anxiety, or fearfulness, a Board & Train program may be the perfect solution. While boarded with one of our partner facilities, a K9SF trainer will conduct a behavioral assessment and evaluation to identify underlying causes for your dog's problematic behavior. They will pay close attention to body language, reactions and interactions with other dogs or humans to understand specific areas to address. Once identified, your trainer will help your dog develop new coping mechanisms to handle difficult situations and will provide guidance on how to reinforce positive behavior at home.
One-Week Behavior Modification
Our one-week (7 days) behavior modification program provides a quick solution to instill basic commands and address minor undesired behaviors. We train your dog to respond to commands in low distraction environments and situations while reducing issues such as excessive barking, not coming when called or begging for food.

Two-Week Behavior Modification
Our two-week (14 days) program provides an effective solution to build a foundation of obedience and addresses minor to moderate behavioral concerns. Our objective is to train your dog to be able to respond to commands in most environments and situations while addressing moderate undesired behavior such as barking, chewing, jumping on people, leash pulling, digging, not coming when called, aggression towards other dogs or people, destructive behavior, begging for food, chasing animals or cars, or marking territory in the house.

Day Training Sessions
Looking for a training option where you can drop off your dog in the morning and pick them up on the way home? Consider a day training session with K9SF!
Drop off your dog by 10:00 am and pick them up by 6:30 pm for a training day that allows them to receive individualized attention and specialized training to overcome problematic behaviors and develop new skills. Your dog will be given exposure to a variety of environments and experiences that will vary from day to day but could include field trips, walks outside of our facility and more. This is an ideal option for those who need their dog to be taken care of for the day but also want to improve their overall skills and behavior.
Please note that there are additional fees for late pick-ups and any dogs not picked up by 8:00 pm will incur charges for an overnight stay. Contact us for more information on the K9SF Day Training Program.
